None of the top riders want to win because their competitors had mechanical or crashed. They want to win because of a better performance, tactics, team mates or a mix of the three. We are lucky to have a very competitive field right now. They all want to be in yellow in Paris. The question is more; who will have found the recipe to beat Pogacar and UAE next summer.

There could be some provisions/clauses in the contract to allow an early exit. Or the two parties could come to an agreement for an exit. Another option is that PT will remove its brand from the jersey but keep funding the team as per T&Cs of the contract. Time will tell!
